Internship Flyer

Introduction:

Throughout the course of this practicum, my Preceptor requested that I create an internship flyer in order to foster leadership development among the youth in the community. This flyer is a tool that will help find the best individuals and bring them to their full potential so that they can contribute to their community in return. The idea behind this task was to seek to obtain undergraduate students, who are interested in the field of public and environmental health, nurture them so that thy can become future leaders. The flyer offers the objective and description of the program along with the requirements and contact information. Nevertheless, certain sections are left blank, which will be filled when a start date is set and for office purposes.

Reflections:

Fostering leadership development and growth is one of the greatest elements for public health. In order for future leaders to become great, they need guidance so that they can believe in themselves and inspire others. Thus, the department provides a substantive learning experience that serves as a basis for interns to explore their career options and to?develop professional skills (Shapira, 2006). The goal of the internship program is to advance? an informed, skilled, and committed workforce serving the overall population. Certainly, this guidance has personally helped me when I interned at the department. Growth and development was my perspective, when I chose this site and from it, I gained more professionally than expected. I became ready to engage in the challenges of public health and bring out the leader in me. Obviously, more people are needed for this task and the best preparation is offered at the Worcester Public Health Department.
